Fall Time

I found these styrofoam pumpkins at the local dollar store the other day.  I thought they would make cute decorations for my house.

While the girls were in school this week, I decided to decorate them.  I used fall picks in one and a flameless LED candle in another.

I am happy with the first one, with the picks, but not so happy with the Fall one.  It didn't quite work out the way I had hoped.  I still have one pumpkin left and I'm not quite sure what to do with it.

Have a good weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Butterfly Notebook

While it has been raining for days here in PA, I had nothing better to do and got tired of reading.  So, I took a break and made this notebook.  I used my bind it all machine.  The butterfly is an acetate embellishment added onto a piece of acrylic that has been stamped with alcohol inks.  I used designer papers and pearls.

Canvas Wall Hangings

I made canvas wall hangings after watching a Tim Holtz video.  I didn't have the right kind of canvas, so I did them my own way.  I used beewax, tissue paper napkins and embellishments.  Hope you like them!

Cards

I haven't been crafting a lot in the past few months.  I had a lot going on, plus I took some well deserved and needed family time.  Also recently I started doing book reviews.  If you are into reading, my new blog is http://tammysbookreviews.blogspot.com

I made a few cards.  One is stitched and the rest are made using alcohol inks on acetate and attached to cards.  I hope you enjoy them.

Two decorated tablets

I made two tablets using bind it all cover alls.  I was looking for an excuse to use my bind it all.  Hope you enjoy them.

Alcohol inks

Boy it's been awhile since I posted and crafted.  I am really getting into the Tim Holtz stuff right now.  Now I just have to tell myself to be patient and wait for it all to arrive!

While I wait for all that stuff, I am having fun with alcohol inks.  Here are a few suncatchers I made and a candle plate.  A Jar that Kayla made using Tim's stuff too.

Also I bought the bind it all and have made two post it note holders.  Here they are...

You can't really tell but I used Tim's distress ink pads around edges and on the letters.

Hope you all like them.

A Thanksgiving Gift and A Christmas Gift

It's been a while since I posted a project.  I'm sorry for that but I have been busy with family issues.

Thanksgiving is only a few days away.  What do you all do for Thanksgiving?  My family goes to my Aunt's every year.  My Mom, Dad, Brother, Grandmother, my girls, hubby and myself.  Plus my Aunt and Uncle makes for a nice day.  My Aunt and Uncle do all the cooking.  My Mom usually brings cookies or something and my Aunt gets a cake.  We eat dinner early and then spend the day just talking and hanging out.

My Dad loves blueberry pie, so one year my Aunt decided to make one instead of buying it.  Well let me tell you, she hasn't made one since! The year she made it, my kids were playing and decided to take the pie from the table when no one was looking and hid it in a closet!  When we realized it was missing, we found it with a footprint in it!  It has been covered, but somehow the littlest one (which was only 2 or 3 at the time) had stepped in it!  My Aunt didn't think it was very funny, but the rest of us did!  Still to this day, we can't go a Thanksgiving Day without mentioning it!  My mom even took pictures and made my Aunt a scrapbook page of that day!

Ok so on to my project.  Last year we couldn't be with my family for the holiday due to hubby having surgery two months prior.  My Aunt lives on a very bumpy road.  I felt bad about not going and decided that this year I wanted to do something special for her.

I made her a gift set to "thank" her for the tradition.  My daughter and I worked on them together.  We've been watching Christmas movies and crafting at night.

Kayla made her a jar we will fill with potpourri and a writing tablet.  I made her a pail and a notebook for her purse.  She loves purple(which is my favorite color) and polar bears.  I bought two small candles to put in the pail.  The problem is that I love the way the pail turned out and now I want to keep it!

We used Kayla's Yin & Yang stamp.  I just love this stamp and seem to use it a lot.

I also made my Aunt a recipe holder.  Her kitchen is black & white, so no purple on this one.  I did use the polar bears though.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I am off to work on Christmas presents now.  Lots to do, lots to do!

Forum fun

Last night we had fun at the i did it creations forum.  We made two projects, sang, talked up a storm, etc.  One of the cards made was using a cute scarecrow by Robyn's Fetish which you can get HERE.
